Really hitting one out of the park requires that you create a focused, practical product for exactly the right kind of customer: the desperate customer.

Digital information products are impulse buys. They're generally written by unknown writers, published by individuals or unknown companies, and with production standards that are significantly lower than in the mainstream publishing industry. Despite this, they tend to be more expensive on a cost-per-page basis than most mainstream products that are sold in bookstores and newsstands.

The reason these products sell at all is a very simple one: A certain kind of customer wants a certain kind of information right now! The customer doesn't want to drive down to the library or bookstore and look for it. He or she doesn't want to order it from Amazon and wait a few days for it to be delivered.

Having just read this ebook I would have to say that it does have a lot of useful tips in it BUT it fell short in some departments.

The book focuses largely on setting up your own product to sell and how to go about marketing the product. This starts as early as chapter 2. This, in my view, does not help any newbie who wants to try their hand at internet marketing. I don’t know about you but I didn’t have a product to sell when I first started out. So from the start we have established that the book is going to appeal to a more experienced market.

This product introduces good ideas and techniques to obtain the buzzwords and find out what products are hot.

It covers in detail about how to obtain resale rights to products that relate to the niche market you have discovered. I had never come across this technique in any other ebook I have read. The downside is that resale rights cost money but on the upside you could easily make that money back within days.

The content about auto responders is very useful. Andrew shows you how and what to write to make your auto responder emails count.

Andrew spends a lot of time promoting his other successful program DominatingCB.com. He uses the sites pages as examples and at some points reading the book I felt a bit sick of the self-promoting which is employed. He also name drops a lot of his friends products like Day Job Killer. There really was no need for that.

I think when you cut to the chase and wade through the piles of “how great I am” you find some very useful tips and techniques that will increase your traffic, improve the amount of names on your list and more importantly make you money.

I would not recommend this book to a complete beginner, as it doesn’t give you an understanding of how to get started. This book is aimed at those people already set up with an understanding of how the system works.

Will you make money using the techniques in the book?

Most definitely but they require a bit of money spent to make them work.

I give this book a 4/5 for money making potential. Definitely worth buying despite the constant self-promotion.

That's why you have to break it down into manageable parts. Consider climbing a mountain. The only way to accomplish such an awesome task is to do it step by step. Think of writing your ebook in the same way. You must create it step by step until one day you take that last step and find yourself with a completed ebook.

If you actually were planning to climb a mountain, you would start by organizing your climbing gear. As a writer, you must start by organizing your thoughts. The time you spend organizing isn't wasted time. It will save you time when you actually start to write, and, more importantly, it will improve the quality of the final product. You should complete the following six steps before you write the first sentence of your ebook.

First, write out a thesis statement. Your thesis statement is a sentence or two stating exactly what problem you are addressing and how your book will solve that problem. Ebooks are big business these days. It seems like every website on the internet has one or more to download (including mine, but they are all free!) And with good reason -- once the initial hard work of actually creating the book is over, all sales will be 100% profit. Take note of the ebook covers that you see, next time you are surfing the internet. The range from works of art, to downright amaturish. But are they really necessary?

Well, in a word, yes. But why? Anyone buying an ebook knows they are downloading a file -- the cover they see isn't "real", so why should it make any difference? What makes a customer more likely to purchase an ebook that has a quality cover?

Pre Selling

I'm sure many of you are familiar with this term, but for those that aren't, here's an example. Lets suppose you are marketing your first ebook entitled "Your Road To Riches". Your sales page displays these words, but what sort of picture does that create in the mind of a prospective customer? You can't really know. Everyone will have a different reaction to those words, based upon their previous life experiences.

But that's not what you want! No -- you want them to visualise the experience that suits you. The one that encourages them to buy your ebook. So let us suppose you have a nice ebook cover displayed beside your sales pitch. One that shows happy, affluent people. Perhaps it combines some elements of sunny days, money, and a nice car.

Now when they look at the cover, they are being exposed to the message you want to convey -- they can actually SEE the Road To Riches, rather than just being told about it. This reinforces your copy and the two combine to give a powerful pre selling effect.

Not so long ago, I created a cover for a psychic ebook. This had been selling steadily at perhaps 4-5 copies per week. On the first day of placing the cover on his site, he made 8 sales. That isn't so much a reflection on my graphic talents, as an example of the positive power of pre selling.

Where are Gutenberg’s Bibles?

Perhaps the most treasured piece of printed material is the Gutenberg Bible. It was the German printer Johann Gutenberg who began printing these Bibles way back in 1455. He used a hand made printing press with movable type. These 42 line Bibles are historic manuscripts that mark the end of the phase of hand copied books and the beginning of publications that could be mass produced.

Gutenberg originally came up with 180 copies of the Bible. Some of the versions of these Bibles were printed on vellum for the rich clientele and the rest of them were published on the hemp-based paper product that had a somewhat inferior quality, thereby raising questions on the longevity. The Bibles were bound in leather in two volumes and were sold to the rich people around the European continent.

Of the 180 Bibles that were published, there are a very few copies of the 42 line Bibles that are known to exist. There is also a version of the New Testament that has been published on vellum and its known that 48 copies of Gutenberg's Bible were published on the hemp-based paper.

There are three perfect vellum copies still in existence. These Bibles are located in France, England, and the United States. In France, the complete vellum version is located in the Bibliotheque Nationale in the capital city of Paris. This massive library also houses a variety of rare and costly books. England’s copy of the complete vellum Gutenberg Bible is located in the country’s British Library in London. This library is home to a phenomenal collection of books, including original works by hometown hero, William Shakespeare. The third perfect vellum copy of the Gutenberg Bible is in the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. A fourth and final perfect vellum copy of the Bible rests in Goettigen, Germany’s Universitaetsbibliothek.

There are more perfect copies on paper in existence. These copies are located in Austria, Germany, the United Kingdom, Portugal, Spain, and the United States. There are approximately eighteen perfect copies in existence printed on the once controversial hemp based paper product.

One copy of Gutenberg's Bible is in Asia in the Keio University Library in Tokyo. It is an incomplete and imperfect copy, but nonetheless an important copy of the 42 line Bible. This Bible was purchased in 1987 for an exorbitant price of $4.9 million by the Maruzen Company of Tokyo, and presented to the University in 1996.

Write an ebook? Seem like a great idea? Read on to see if it really is worth your time and effort.

What is more important to you - time or money? Interesting question isn't it? Personally, I love money or rather, the things that money can buy, but I know that without the time to enjoy spending it, I would quickly wonder what the point of it all was?

For me, my time is more valuable than anything else because without it I cannot enjoy anything else. Would I rather get up at 7.00 a.m. every morning for work, get home at 5.00 p.m. to do more work then crawl into bed shattered every day? OR would I rather get up when I liked because I knew I was earning money anyway, then spend some quality time with the family, rather than seeing them briefly as I skit in and out of the front door?

NO-BRAINER!!

So how can we all achieve this idyllic situation? Yes, you could write ebooks and sell them on Ebay or through a website and maybe make some money. BUT, you have had to use quite a bit of your valuable time to do it. For those who are currently tied into a 9-5 job this makes it quite a chore.

So, lets look at the alternative. You can choose an ebook that has been written by somebody else and "rebrand it". What does this mean? Well, many ebook authors not only make their money from the content of their ebook but also by the quality of their affiliate links throughout their ebook. A rebrandable ebook is one where you have resale rights and can alter the links to earn your own affilliate income with each click you get. You may also insert links to your own website which could sell more rebranded ebooks.

Sara begins her ebook by explaining how she finds the majority of Internet Marketing sites "as enlightening as shoving your head into a sack of soot." Sara then goes on to explain that she has a reputation for telling people exactly how she earns her income. Mini Launches are one of her many income streams which she will be explaining to you inside Sara Brown's Mini Launches.

The next chapter is entitled "How to make Big Profits from Small Cost Items." She begins the chapter with a screenshot of one of the recent offers she put out. This offer was 250 quality Internet Marketing videos with resell rights for $4 and it brought her a couple of thousand dollars. Sara then explains that this offer didn't take her very long to put together at all, and then all had to do was mail it to her list. However, she stresses you do not need a mailing list to conduct your very own mini launch. Sara then outlines her first tip for your own mini-launch - keep your costs down and follows this up with a money saving tip. This is the only real content of this chapter, as the rest is mainly just an example of Sara's video offer mini-launch. Overall, this chapter doesn't really contain any key information, although it is fairly introductory in its nature. It is interesting to see an example of one of Sara's mini-launches, but as a subscriber to her newsletter I have already seen this mini-launch and it doesn't actually teach me anything new. The money saving tip is also nothing new to me and I doubt it will be new to anyone who owns their own website.

Next Sara moves on to describe "Finding a Product." She describes the multiple ways you can go about finding a product, and her personal favourite product sourcing method for mini-launches. Sara also provides a very good tip for sourcing cheap products with very little research, one that I have begun to use myself. After explaining how to source your products, she then explains how to choose the right one for your mini-launch. To do this you first have to check that the product matches certain criteria (explained inside Sara Brown's Mini Launches) and then decide whether it is good enough for your very own mini-launch. Overall, this chapter is a very good way of obtaining products quickly and cheaply that you can sell on for a profit. However, I personally prefer to spend a little more time and/or money creating my own, unique product. I will probably use this method in the future but focus the majority of my efforts on getting my own products out there.

The next section covers "Repackaging your Product." This includes information such as how to find/create product licenses and how to create your sales page. Sara explains how she created sales pages for 3 of her mini-launches and how to create a PayPal button to accept payments. Finally, she covers pricing your product in her own unique way. Overall, I found the information on product licenses quite informative. However, the section on creating your sales page and accepting payments online is a little basic and would probably not be suitable for newbies. Sara simply states that if you don't know how to create or edit a sales page template then do some research. I feel a little extra information in this section would have been nice. However, the pricing structure Sara suggests is simple and logical, although many Internet Marketing experts are unlikely to agree.

Sara Brown's Mini Launches then moves on to describe "Distribution - Where do I find people to buy my product?" Sara begins the section by explaining how to build your mailing list. She then covers what to do to get traffic if you don't have a mailing list. Her methods include using eBay (but in a unique, creative way) and using forums. I personally know of, and use the promotional methods that Sara mentions, but it is unlikely that newbies will know of them. In particular, the eBay promotional technique will be particularly helpful to newbies. However, I feel that there are a lot more promotional methods Sara could have included in this section, including article marketing and your eBay About Me page, to name just a few. The section on list building is simple but informative, although I feel Sara could have included a few extra list building methods too.

Sara then wraps up her ebook with a flowchart. This flowchart serves as a good guide when conducting your own mini-launch and summarises all the points in nice, concise manner. Overall, Sara Brown's Mini Launches will definitely be most useful to those who do have a list. Although Sara states that you don't need a list to implement the ideas in Sara Brown's Mini Launches, having one makes it a lot easier and will also allow you to see returns on your mini-launch a lot quicker. Sara Brown's Mini Launches is also most useful for those who do not yet have their own product as it provides a quick, easy and low-cost way to acquire and sell a product for profit. Those with a product are likely to make more money promoting their own product. If you don't have a product or list and are relatively inexperienced selling online I would recommend Sara Brown's Mini Launches to you as it offers a relatively simple, low cost system, that does have the potential to make you money. However, more experienced Internet Marketers will probably be able to make more money using other methods.

Generally the information would be very useful for beginners.
A good way for people without a product and/or list to make money online.
The section on sourcing low price products quickly is a great idea which I will be implementing.
The flowchart at the end of the ebook summarises the entire 'mini-launch' process very effectively.

Despite what Sara says, the ideas are much easier to implement and profit from if you already have a list.
Although Sara makes a lot of good points, you feel she could expand on them further.

1.Wanting Your eBook To Be Perfect Before Releasing It: If you think your ebook isn’t good enough and you are afraid to release it, you’ll keep reworking and editing it and make sure that you never make any money!

The truth is that most of us are too critical of ourselves. I’ve even heard that Robert Kiyosaki didn’t think much of Rich Dad Poor Dad, (the third best-selling business book in history) before it was published either so you’re in good company! You could also turn it into a notebook that could sell from $47 to $297 or $400 depending on your target market.

You could also turn it into a home-study course ($397-$497), an audio-coaching program ($199-$247) and a coaching program ($2,000 to $5,000 or more!). It’s the same information but by LEVERAGING it into different products you can make thousands if not hundred’s of thousands of dollars!

4. Editing And Judging While Writing: This is the fastest way to get stuck at the very least and at most to give up completely! When you start judging before you've finished writing, it stops you from getting your thoughts out on paper because you're worrying about how it sounds instead of just focusing on the ideas. So give yourself permission to get your ideas out first. You can come back and edit later. And, you’ll be amazed at how much faster you can write if you just stop judging and editing while you write.

5. Writing About You Instead Of The Benefit To Your Potential Customers: People want to know what the benefit is to them of what you are saying. They don’t care about you-except for how it relates to them and their problems. If you write an ebook and you have a lot more “I's’ instead of “You’s” then you better rethink it.

I find that the conversion rates to my email list on my own ebooks is around 5 times higher than that of others’ ebooks – not because I am a great writer, but I believe because people on my list have developed a trust relationship with me, and want to read more from me.

The first step is to write out a list of 10 areas of interest to write about in your ebook. They should all be related to the topic or theme of your ebook itself.

Once you have your list of 10 areas of interest which you wish to cover, write about 500 words about that area of interest. Start with an introduction to the area of interest, offer 2-3 main ideas on the area of interest, and then summarize the information. Do this for each of the areas of information you have listed. When you are done, you should have at least 10 pages of good solid information. This is about as long as you want your free ebook to be, because you want to make sure that it is read all the way through, to create maximum credibility.

Be sure and include ample links to your own squeeze page, offering a free ecourse or some other free ebook, for those people who will read your ebook that are referred by other web sites than your own. If you write about a topic and you can reasonably recommend an affiliate product, be sure and include your affiliate link. It is not unheard of to receive commissions years after the initial release of an ebook, so be sure and take advantage of this. Just do not overdo this – you do not want people to feel they have been conned into reading a affiliate sales piece – only recommend something if you really think they can use the recommendation.

Proofread your ebook, add a table of contents, page numbers, and then have someone else proofread your ebook. Sometimes you’re too close to your subject and can’t see something that is right in front of you. I’ve thrown out ideas that I thought were complete the way they were, only to have someone show me how I could take the idea even further and do it even better or make even more money with it. 1. Storage. You have all that great material already, right? Blog posts, articles, rants, whitepapers, etc. It’s time to put them together into a nicely packaged document that delivers more value. Content = useless until it’s accessible to all.

2. Reach. Sure, you could charge $7, $17 or $47 or whatever other shrewd pricing strategy you learned from those Internet marketing dudes. But if it’s free, more people are going to see it. And if your ebook ROCKS (and has some, but not too much, cross pollination of your additional services) the revenue will bounce back ten fold. Er, seven fold.

3. Differentiation. Most ebooks out there, especially the ones people charge for, suck. Very little value given. Just a teaser to get you to buy something bigger. And I’m all for using ebooks to cross-promote, but don’t chince out. Don’t give away one or two good ideas; pack it full of dozens of ideas and content that is SO good, people want more.

4. WOM. Seth Godin wrote the best-selling ebook in the history of ebooks. Funny thing is, he didn’t charge for it. At least, not if you didn’t want to pay for it. He offered people a choice: get it for free, pay a small donation, or pay full price. Your choice. BRILLIANT! More people talked about that ebook than anything else ever written!

You can simply do the ebook, post it on your blog and wait until you’re ready for the BIG one to do it for real.

11. Testing. OK, so you’ve got these ideas, stories, tips, etc. You want to test the waters before writing a real book, right? Cool. Write the ebook, post it for free, and see what people say. Maybe you’ll get glowing emails from around the world saying how great it is! Or, maybe nobody will download it except your wife and even she’ll tell you that it sucked. Either way, you’ll have a better idea of how the market responds to your content before spending $5000 on the real thing.

12. Content. Content is king. People might forgive sub-par packaging, but they’ll never forgive crappy content. Work hard on making your ebook meaty and chunky. Like Campell’s. Full of great stuff. 13. Authorship. Writing an ebook doesn’t make you an author. Author = actual, tangible books. However, it’s one step closer. You’ll feel like an author. And once you write an ebook (that everybody loves) perhaps you’ll be inspired to get that real book out of you.

14. Practice. I’ve written four paperback books so far. And I don’t think I discovered my true voice until the third one. So, practice doesn’t make perfect, practice makes polished. 15. Credibility. Providing that your ebook gives useful, sound advice, you will be perceived as an expert. An authority. Maybe not THE expert or THE authority. But the more you write = the more credible you become.

Another disadvantage I can see with Affiliate marketing is that in most cases, they only pay you one level commission. So if you for example recruit a “super star”, and he makes a "killing", you are not getting paid on all the sales that he makes.

On the other hand, with MLM you have some other disadvantages. For example you can be very limited to which kind of products you are allowed to promote. So for example, if your primary MLM program promotes health products, then in many cases, you are not allowed to promote other companies health products at the same time.

The truth is that both Affiliate marketing and also MLM can be very powerful if it’s marketed correctly. However you definitely have more flexibility as an Affiliate marketer then you have as a network marketer. The key is like always that you are persistent, and also that you do what ever feels right for you, regardless if that’s Affiliate marketing or MLM. Or why not take the best from 2 different worlds and do both of them?
