Ebook Creation - Steps to Consider

Creating your own ebook will require you to include Title, Chapters, and Pages. Of course when you complete these tasks, you will also have to include your Table of Contents page.

Let's suppose you are going to write a ten chapter book. You might want to consider something in the neighborhood of 40-60 pages. The reason for this is twofold. 1) You don't want to get carried away with length in your first endeavor. 2) You might want to consider giving this book away so it's not necessary to write "War and Peace."

Though you'll want to keep the quality high, you might want to keep the quantity at a minumum. Just give them a taste of what they'll get in future ebooks. Remember you are providing information. People are more interested in learning something useful, rather then how long your book is.

You will of course have to create a niche. Let's use this title for example.

"How To Create and Maintain Your Lawn."

This can be your main title. You will then want to build on this with further examples of chapter subtitles as follows:

  • How to Choose the Right Tools?
  • Choosing the Best Topsoil.
  • What is the Right Grass Seed?
  • How Often Should I Water?

If you know your niche well you should have no trouble thinking of related topics to your main headline for ten chapters.

The next step is to write your pages. If you have ten sub topics for your main headline you might want to write an average of five pages for each topic. Some pages may have more, some less. Try to make your pages as clear to your reader as possible. Keep in mind, your reader is not looking to solve the Rubic Cube puzzle. Make it useful and keep it simple.

As previously mentioned, you will want to add a Table of Contents page, as well as a Header and Footer.

The idea of network marketers offering free ebooks is gaining in popularity. Not only does it help educate the reader in the various phases of network marketing, such as MLM, but also, allows the writer to form a bond of loyalty with the reader.
